Tasting Notes

Red, purple hue. Dense nose of dark cherry and plum fruits. Subtle oak and typical GV salinity. On the palate this wine is rich, but also tightly woven. Dark fruit is fleshed out by toasty oak and firm fruit tannins. Great balance of acidity.

95 Points | "The wine shows a great degree of elegance with seductive savoury nuances. The inviting bouquet shows dark berry, dried herb, roast meat, vanillin oak and earthy mushroom aromas, followed by a succulent palate displaying terrific fruit weight and depth. Silky, mouthfilling and deliciously long on the finish. At its best: now to 2030." - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

93 Points | "Elegant and quite concentrated pinot noir with plum, violet, cherry and spice flavours. A fruit-focused wine that is deliciously accessible now but should develop well with bottle age.- Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review

92 Points | "A captivating bouquet of Noir with aromas of dried roses and fresh cherry, moments of strawberry and cherry, it’s quite savoury too with a bracken and dried herb quality. On the palate - savoury and dry, a core of fruit and dried herb flavours, firm tannins and plenty of acidity. A wine that reflects it home and soils, is young and needs cellar time to integrate and harmonise, which it will - so best drinking from 2023 through 2028+."- Cameron Douglas MS

92 Points |"High toned aromatics showing ripe and juicy cherry notes with judicious oak nuances. Firm and youthful, with ripe, structured tannins."- Decanter World Wine Awards 2022
